Lars Olsson.

I graduated from a 4-year long technical education 1988. Then I worked as an operator at Saab Scania in Södertälje, did my national service at the engineer troops, traveled around the world, worked as a supply teacher in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology.

1991 I was employed at Casco Adhesives Machine Department where I worked for 22 years. First I worked mostly with machine production and installations of the machines (beside glue mixers and glue spreaders also equipment that in an environmentally sound manner took care of the wash water created in the cleaning of the gluing machines). The customers were producers of for example Laminated Beams, Wooden Floors and Furniture. After a couple of years my work tasks moved more and more towards development within control system programming as well as mechanical design. The goal of the development work was always to give the customers more than they were expecting regarding productivity quality and usability. Another fairly big part of the work tasks were to negotiate with suppliers, purchasing complete machines, machine systems and components. During about 6 years I worked as a manager of a team of 5-10 people. The most joyful work situation for me is to see a need at a customer, find a solution, implement it and get positive feedback from the customer.

During my years working for Casco I have spent totally about 5 years visiting a lot of different factories producing Laminated Beams, Wooden Floors and Furniture all around the world.

I have always been a very solution-oriented and creative person. During my Casco time, I have been heavily involved in several patent applications, several of which have been granted. Most of the patent applications have been method patents aimed at increasing the productivity and quality of a production process. I have always enjoyed working with others. At Casco, I have had many extremely competent colleagues who have taught me a lot in many different areas.
